We are so excited to announce after three years of planning and preparing, and based on feedback from teens, we are launching a youth-run thrift store:

by youth, for youth.
This idea comes from our annual Fab Fashion Boutique formal-wear and work-wear events, where hundreds of teens each year were able to "shop" for free items for proms, graduation parties, job interviews, summer internship and more.

So much more than a thrift store

Fab Fits exists to provide an opportunity for teens to get new and gently worn formal and work-wear attire, from suits, to ties, to purses, belts, dresses, blouses and everything else they need to feel confident and comfortable on their special occasions; and off-set the costs of some of their most memorable events such as prom, job and college interviews, summer internships, graduation photos and celebrations. Being a teen can be expensive!

As we are a workforce development organization, the store also creates employment opportunities for teens.

How it works & FAQ

Logistics:

We are constantly collecting, but have a big push between February and end of April.

Where to drop off: 2025 E. Atlantic Street, 19134.
When to drop off: Tues-Friday, 11am-6pm. We can also arrange for SOME SATURDAY DROP OFFS WITH ADVANCE NOTICE.

Common questions:

Who can shop at Fab Fits? This store is for teens ages 15-19. We know there are lots of FAB items that adults might enjoy, but this is strictkly for teens.
What does Fab Fits accept? Clean, gently worn clothing, accessories, and shoes that can be worn to a formal event and/or to the workplace, internship, college interview, or school, etc.
Formal wear is always a priority. Think those #bridesmaids and #groomsmen outfits you'll never wear again; or the gown you had worn to the black-tie event that you wouldn't dare to wear again lest be seen in the same outfit twice.
What sizes are you looking for? We are always looking for all sizes. We are size and gender inclusive.
Is there clothing for both young men and young women? Yes!
Do you accept shoes? YES! And sneakers and sandals, too.
Can someone from FYP pick items up from me? Maybe. This will have to be on a case by case basis.
Can I bring a group of teens from my youth program? Yes! Contact Nicole (she/her) by email and she can arrange a time for a visit.
Are my donations tax deductible? Yes! Donations are tax deductible and we provide donation letter; people can put in for themselves the value/amount of the donation.
We also have an Amazon wishlist, that we constantly updating in case people would like to purchase item(s) and have them sent directly to our office.
