Meaningful Workforce Development
84,000 Philadelphians aged 16-24 are actively seeking employment, yet only 11% are hired through traditional workforce programs
For more than 85% of our teens their first workforce training or job experience is with Fab Youth Philly.

Most teens say to us: "Businesses want me to have experience, but how can I get it if I can't get a first job?"
At Fab Youth, teens develop or enhance key workforce skills: communication, collaboration, creative innovation, and critical thinking.

Evidence-based
Our work is guided by the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets and Developmental Relationships Framework which enhances youth resilience through 3 key protective factors:
-
fostering meaningful relationships
-
setting clear expectations, and
-
providing opportunities to grow.
meeting teens' developmental needs
Fab Youth Philly staff have deep knowledge of young people's developmental needs and are supported to help teens establish financial independence, build positive relationships with peers and adults, explore their identity and interests.
Building social capital
OST programs are critical environments for supporting young people’s healthy growth and development. One opportunity organizations have is to promote social capital, the resources and supports that help young people define and pursue their life goals.
FYP's programs utilize proven, evidence-based models to provide meaningful employment and comprehensive youth development.
We offer jobs matched with teens' developmental stages, helping our participants build skills, networks, and work experience in a supportive setting.
This holistic approach fosters individual teen growth and contributes to overall neighborhood vibrancy.
